Food Secure Canada and its partners are organizing Eat Think Vote to make food an election issue and engage citizens and candidates about creating a national food policy.
They invite all Canadians to sign a petition asking for a national food policy.
The Eat Think Vote campaign will be asking for:
- zero hunger in Canada (food insecurity affects nearly 4 million Canadians)
- affordable food in northern and remote communities;
- support for new farmers;
- a federal investment in a universal healthy school food program
